Fashion and I, we’ve never really been close friends. I usually just dress for comfort, jeans and a tee shirt kinda thing.
The hippie-down-to-earth side of me likes natural fabrics, the cottons, linens and especially denim.
I won’t publicly admit to how many denim jackets I possess, it’s getting embarrassing.
(I wonder if there is such an association as Denims Anonymous?
Hi, my name is Ashley and I’m a denim-holic. It’s been 2 hours since my last wearing….hmmmm.)
But I’m digressing (see what denim does to me) back to the hippest pants in Jozi.
I am in possession of some of the coolest pairs of pants ever owned. And I can say that unashamedly, because it’s quite obviously true.
Wherever I go in them, people come up to ask me where I got them from, or compliment me on how awesome they look. Those women, who do the whole once-over-glance-up-and-down thing; their eyes always linger longingly on my awesome pants.
They are super comfortable, funky, unique, handmade and just totally gorgeous.
Oh, and proudly South African too.

You definitely wear the pants around there….. Love the off-beat topic. Even the bright colour stripes of the mat don’t make an impression.
Thanks Doug. They are super cool, had to do a post about
them.
