The loveliness of Peach Blossoms.
Now I’m not one of those girls who has a huge affinity to wearing the colour pink.
I thought at a stage that I actually disliked the colour, but nature has taught me to see things differently.
If you’ve read my previous post Cosmos Dreaming you’ll see that I maybe, kind of, could possibly actually like pink flowers – just a wee bit.
Here we sit, just past the middle of winter, and at the moment it feels like it’ll never end.
If, like me, you’re not a fan of the long winter months, of feeling the cold clawing its way into your bones, the wind knifing through you like frozen bullets and the brown drab scenery. Then I’m here to remind you (and myself) what’s just around the corner. So hang in there, Spring she is coming. 😀
Picture yourself walking through a mown field, the grass is a myriad of different browns. With each step you take, a small puff of dust billows up from underfoot. All around you the trees are bare, waiting for the first rains to bring that welcome relief. Except for one line of trees, that for some reason don’t listen to the strict rules of winter. They break out, like naughty children teasing their mom, flaunting their youth, happy-go-lucky, not a care in the world style. They hardly bother to put out leaves before, out of their dark, inhospitable looking branches, erupts the most welcoming sight…..

Nice thoughts about what I’ve enjoyed, am enjoying, but will soon end here in the Northern Hemisphere. I look forward to Autumn, but the cold and snow, not so much. Great pictures.
If we didn’t have the cold seasons, we may not truly appreciate the warm ones. Thanks for the comment Mike 🙂
Wow, these are stunning and a beautiful hint of what we can look forward to. They look ethereal. Lovely! Thank you for the reminder that the winter won’t, in fact, be endless!
You’re welcome 🙂 I needed the reminder myself.
According to our local paper we’re now four minutes better off in the mornings than the worst sunrise time. Love the message you’re posting here. It’s time for the old skin to peel off and the regeneration of nature. Thanks, LittleAshCloud, this is a lovely post, cheerful and promising. It slots into the category “The pink of perfection.”
Whohooo! Spring she is coming! I can feel it. Then we can start chanting ” spring is sprung. Der grass is riz. I wonder where dem boidies is?” We can look forward to new foliage, baking sun, summer rain storms, butterflies and the smell of the buddleja wafting though the garden. We are nearly there. 🙂
